"Sunflower IV" - SOLD

This is a funky little sunflower painting I did some time ago which I never posted. It just found a new home so I wanted to thank Miss Nancy for adopting it. It's one of those "out of my head" paintings where I didn't have a photo or flower to look at while painting. I like to do that sometimes - it feels very free.

"Amaryllis" - SOLD

More florals from Mayfield Park. I still can't believe that I've lived here over 30 years and never stopped at this free park. There were so many flowers in bloom, I went on photo safari. This is a studio work, not plein air.

"Designer Apples" - SOLD

I like these small paintings because I can get more done! I've decided to do a bunch of small studies that hopefully can stand on their own, but also serve as a guide for larger paintings. I did this one yesterday at Rae Andrews one day workshop. We always have so much fun painting with her.

"Ski Shores"

This is the 2nd plein air painting. We all painted at Ski Shores last weekend and had a great time. This place is so funky with so much STUFF, it was hard to find the right pile to paint. We all spread out and painted, then enjoyed one of their huge famous hamburgers afterward. This is the first time I've ever visited this place and am glad I'm more up to date on a long time Austin tradition!

"Tuscany Morning"

Mornings and early evenings are so stunning in Italy. I'm working on trying to capture the atmospheric changes that occur during these times. They are always so quiet and peaceful.
