"Cruisin" - SOLD

This was painted from a photo I took at Moody Gardens aquarium in Galveston. My friend who knows her fish pretty well says the blue/green fish is a parrot fish and the other one is a trigger fish. I don't have a clue, so it sounds good to me.

"Galveston Pelicans"

This is an experimental piece using a palette knife to paint. The process is not one I've had much experience with, but thought it would be fun to try. The painting is done from a photo of pelicans that hang out behind the fish processing shack at the Galveston harbor. They swim around like they are happy just to hang out until the guy with with the bucket of fish parts tosses them breakfast. Then all *!@# breaks loose and feathers fly to grab a morsel of free food.

"Apples on Glass"

I love apples - I like to eat and paint them. I set up this little still life with a left over sample of green glass from one of our UT jobs. I really liked the contrasting glass color with the red apples.

"Bridge to Anduze"

This is a pastel of a bridge we crossed almost every day in Provence France. It led to the little town of Anduze where we often shopped for groceries and goodies. One day we stopped the car and I took a photo. It's been in the holding bin for over a year waiting for me to paint.

"Tuscany Morning"

Mornings and early evenings are so stunning in Italy. I'm working on trying to capture the atmospheric changes that occur during these times. They are always so quiet and peaceful.
