This is(was??) the lighthouse on Bolivar Peninsula before Ike hit. We haven't been back to see if it is still standing. We've been wanting to revisit Galveston but have been so busy here, we haven't had the time to make the trip. I think my computer is FINALLY fixed, so I can post again regularly. What an uphill battle this has been - 2 calls to India, one trip to the IT guy, 2 visits from Time Warner, hours of my time & frustration and . . it's working!

Oh, I like this one. I always thought it was a neat thing to get to ride the ferry over to Bolivar Point when I was a kid.

I just looked up Bolivar Lighthouse on the internet. Apparently the lighthouse is the only thing standing. Your painting is beautiful.
