I finally finished this 12 x 12 last night. This is from a photo I took one morning on private property, on my knees, with the geese, almost falling in the water. I pushed the colors for fun. I love our skyline!
Love it! Needs to be about 3 times larger! Think BIG! This is a big city! In an office they will want a BIG painting. Think of the hundreds, if not thousands of potential buyers who would want this for their office or home looking out from their BIG home hanging off the hills of west Austin. Come on girl, think BIG! I really do love this one. From your most vociferous uncredentialed & unknowledgeable critic (and your biggest fan). Glenda
To order original paintings or prints please visit my site at Fine Art America: vicki-brevell.artistwebsites.com or contact me via email: vickibrevell@yahoo.com. All credit cards accepted as well as PayPal.
After a lifetime of doing everything but art, I have now put my love of painting as a first priority. I wanted to major in art in college, but was quickly talked out of it by my father who said I'd never make a living with an art degree. So, scared that I might starve, I majored in business but squeezed in as many art electives as possible. Upon graduation I immediately went to work and never stopped. Never painted either!!
I now devote several days per week to pure painting time and enjoy the company of many local painters. Current art memberships include: Austin Plein Air, Waterloo Watercolor Group and Austin Pastel Society.
Juried Exhibitions include:
AUSTIN PASTEL SOCIETY Minature Show (2009) Won First in Show, Juror: Susan Kemner Reed
WATERCOLOR ART SOCIETY-HOUSTON 31st International Exhibition - Juror: Stephen Quiller (2008); WATERLOO WATERCOLOR GROUP FALL EXHIBITION - Juror: Christopher Shinck (2008);
WATERLOO WATERCOLOR GROUP ANNUAL EXHIBITION - Juror: Joe Fettingis (2007)
1ST PLACE WINNER - Waterloo Watercolor Society Fall Challenge (2007)
