"Pickers" SOLD

SOLD - Thanks so much R.G. for purchasing my painting!! I was so surprised to find out that you also had a special connection to Spicewood Vineyard and the owners. I'm so happy that the painting is meaningful to you too!

Well, I finally got around to getting the original delivered to Madeleine and Ed this past Saturday. As we discussed I had two Giclees made ,one for me and one for the Yates Family who bought Spicewood Vineyard. I am going to get a small gold plaque engraved for the frame, with the title and your name, for the Yates copy as I am sure they will hang it in the tasting room.

The best part of all this is that Madeleine and Ed were so thrilled. I got at least a dozen big hugs from Madeleine with tears in her eyes (my eyes were not exactly dry). Ed called the picker by name and pointed out that that was sure the belt he wears and many other features that were very distinguishable to them. Madeleine described the exact location where scene was taken.

As you know Madeleine and Ed devoted the last 15 years of their lives planting the plants caring for the vines and making Spicewood Vineyards what it was when they sold it to the Yates family. Your painting stirred up a lot of emotions and good memories for them and is something they will always cherish.

The Yates will also be very excited. The Yates feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to take Spicewood Vineyard to the next level. The Yates Family (Ron, the son is running the business) have made many improvements to the tasting room and barrel room down stairs. They have also begun construction on an event room to seat 250 people for receptions, weddings etc...

I just wanted you to know that you touched many lives with just one painting and gave the Manigold's a visual reminder of the fruits of their labor.
