"French Gate"

This one's hot off the old easel - finished it today. It's from another photo taken on the last France trip where, once again, I'm fascinated with gates & doors leading to ???? This could easily be right here in Austin. We do have similar rock and plants, but it's really from a small town in Provence.

Hi Vicki - This is lovely ! Is it oil ?

Janine

Hey thanks! Yes, it's oil and a bigger one - 16 x20. It's been sitting around for months and I finally grabbed it yesterday and finished it.

I think you should DEFINITELY apply to the daily painters gallery. For sure!! I know I replied to your previous email … it must have gotten lost in space. But really, you are definitely ready. And there is nothing wrong with painting lots of different things. Theirs is nothing wrong with painting one thing over and over either. We are all motivated by different things. You know? Paint what you love and it comes through in your work!!! By the way, your French Door is AWESOME! -c
