Osprey Nest - Lake Sam Rayburn

This is the first painting I did after my return from Kentucky.  It's a large Osprey nest straight out in the water from our lake house.  It's close enough for me to watch the action with my binoculars.  I've been watching it for months now.  There are two babies and a very attentive Mama.  I've seen the male fly in with a large rat in his claw for dinner. . Nice family.  The 'babies' are getting rather large now.  I wonder how long they are going to hang out at home.

I love this painting. The sky didn't belong there and it took the water and tree with it. It all seemed to go away and be so connected. It's wonderful. It's what I said before. I love that art of yours. You say, a nest, some tree, water, and sky. I looked at it an saw first of all, wow. Vicki, it's wonderful. It's like a book that I want to turn the page on. See whats on the next page. You left me wanting to see more.

So glad you are having fun at the lake house. Fun new colors in your pictures - never seen an osprey - they look big. Would you go to the workshop again? Recommend to friends? I am really intrigued with the colors. Nancy
